Celebrate Closet Brewing’s fourth birthday at “This Is What Community Looks Like”, a vibrant craft market and pop-up bar experience!
We’re inviting YOU to join us for our fourth birthday celebration! “This Is What Community Looks Like” is a free craft market and pop-up bar at Portobello Town Hall, Edinburgh, packed with local queer artists, incredible vegan food and drink, and fundraising for LGBTQ+ charities. Plus, of course, amazing Closet Brewing beers!
Mark your calendar for Saturday, 18 July, 12pm–10pm. Celebrate the vibrant, welcoming community that’s grown around Closet Brewing since 2022.
Closet Brewing was founded to create an inclusive space for everyone, especially women and LGBTQ+ people, who’ve felt unwelcome in traditional drinking venues. Our beers and merch are designed by queer artists, many of whom will be at the event selling and showcasing their work.
Browse unique stalls from local queer artists and makers like Enbean Art, Zuza Makes, Gawjuhs Art, Lost Astronaut, AJD Illustrates, Cat Gordon Illustration, HAM, Jasper Heron, Celesti Kink, Felfira Moon Designs, and WyrdWoodCraft. Refuel with mouthwatering vegan eats from Unity Doner and Soft Serve Cartel, or try something new with LUSH, who'll be running a bath bomb making workshop!
Once the market ends we'll keep the party going at our after-party and pop-up bar! Enjoy Closet Brewing favourites, discover our special birthday beer, or choose from a selection of fun soft drinks (slushy machine, anyone?), we’ve got something for everyone. In the evening we will also be joined by Edinburgh-favourite DJHam for a great all-vinyl music set to get us all in the party mood

1pm-6pm, Craft Market
Browse unique stalls from queer artists, and local makers
2pm-4pm, LUSH Bath Bomb Workshop
Only £5 per person, this is the perfect opportunity to try something new, courtesy of the LUSH Edinburgh Spa
6pm-6.30pm, Charity Raffle Draw
The moment we will be announcing all the raffle prize winners. From zines and stickers to tattoo flash and photography portrait sessions there are plenty of opportunities to win and support Porty Pride and LGBT Health and Wellbeing.
6pm-10pm, After Party
The market gets packed away, the music turned up and the birthday celebrations continue into the evening
7.30pm-9pm, DJ Set
Get your dancing shoes on as we will be joined by Edinburgh-favourite DJHam for a great all-vinyl music set
