Closet Brewing is an Edinburgh-based nano-brewery run by two queer women (and our tiny dog).

Our emphasis is on quality vegan beers, queer community and keeping a local-minded, outgoing approach at the centre of our mission.

We use unique flavours and innovative techniques to create beers that are, at their heart, a lot of fun.

    Our beers always have been, and always will be, entirely vegan. You won't find any lactose or nasty animal products in our cans.

  • unapologetically queer

    As two queer women, in an industry dominated by straight men, we want to create a space for anyone to enjoy a nice pint.

  • fiercely independent

    Local bars and bottleshops have always been our lifeblood, and that's why you'll never find our beers in supermarkets.

Founder & Head Brewer (she/her)

Lucy Stevens

Keg-slinger, label designer, cleaner-in-chief. Just a few titles that could describe Lucy's position at Closet Brewing. As the head (read: only) brewer, she handles the whole beery lifecycle from creating recipes to quality control.

Lizzie Stevens

The mastermind behind this entire operation (and definitely not the author of this bio). Lizzie has been Lucy's partner in crime for over 10 years and the powerhouse behind Closet Brewing's marketing and events.

Our enthusiatic mascot and loveable raspscallion. There's nary a bar nor bottleshop that this puppy hasn't pulled.
